Meals on Wheels Volunteers

Join the Fight Against Hunger in South Fulton County

Our seniors are a valuable part of our local community. Home delivered meals helps extend the amount of time frail and/or homebound seniors can stay in their own homes. This prolonged independence contributes to better health in many ways for them. But volunteering with Meals on Wheels is about more than just meal delivery and fighting senior hunger, it’s an opportunity to show our seniors that there are people who care about them.  We display this compassion by delivering nutritious meals, smiles, and sometimes big hugs.

To sign-up to volunteer or for more information about becoming a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, please call our main office at (404) 559-0070.

Meal Delivery Position:

South Fulton Senior Services delivers Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors all over South Fulton County five days per week.  Our volunteers report to one of our eight meal pick-up sites and then deliver the meals to seniors in need. Meal routes can take between one and two hours to deliver.  Volunteers utilize their personal automobiles for meal delivery.

Pack-Out Site Coordinator:

So you want to make a difference in the lives of homebound seniors but you don’t want to deliver meals?  We also need volunteers who can receive the prepared meals from our vendor at our Pack-Out site (meal pick-up site), get the meals ready for the volunteers who deliver, and communicate supply needs or concerns with the Meals on Wheels Coordinator at the main office.
