Donations and Endowments
South Fulton Senior Services, Inc., a private non-profit organization, strives to achieve its mission through programs and activities which promote mental and physical well-being for mature adults. In order for the agency to successfully fulfill this mission and wealth of resources must be available. SFSS relies upon traditional funding sources, donations and fund-raising to meet the financial challenge of providing superior services and opportunities for the customers with the greatest needs.
The Process
General Contributions
You can support SFSS by making a tax-deductible gift any time of the year. Gifts can be made by check, or credit card (Master, Visa, AMEX). All credit card payments are made through Pay-Pal.
In-Kind Gifts
Donations may be made in the form of printing services, real estate, food (for special events), office equipment, etc. The possibilities are endless!
Planned Gifts
SFSS has been the fortunate beneficiary of bequests and other planned gifts. Primarily, these gifts have come to us through donor’ wills; however, we can also accept gift annuities, life insurance policies, and gifts from other sources. To ensure the future of SFSS as a “Friend of the Elderly.”
Commemorative Donation
A gift of remembrance in honor or celebration of a special occasion or a gesture of sympathy to memorialize a friend or loved one can also be made to SFSS. A special card acknowledging your thoughtfulness will be sent to the person(s) you designate. Donations can also be made in memory or in honor of those elders who have influenced your life.
Matching Gifts
Many companies match employee donations of cash or securities to charitable organizations. When you mail your donation to SFSS, please indicate whether your company has a matching gift program.
Financial Policy
The Internal Revenue Code permits you to deduct the amount you donate to South Fulton Senior Services, Inc. If you have any questions about determing the tax-deductible portion of your gift, gift please contact us or your tax advisor on the most suitable method of giving for you.
After receiving your contribution, SFSS will send you a receipt to acknowledge your donation. This receipt can be used for your tax return.
